About Beth Kent
Beth Kent was raised in Buffalo, New York, with an early interest for art, design, and a yearning to explore the world. And so naturally when attending Hamilton College, she chose to earn a B.A. in French with a minor in Studio Art where she focused on painting. Upon graduating, Beth moved to New York City. There, she embarked on a successful and rewarding career in the fashion industry by building out international businesses for Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, and Anne Klein while living in Paris, Buenos Aires, Santiago, and Amsterdam. It was during these many years of travel that she also honed her skills in street photography.
Recently, Beth jumped off the corporate treadmill to become an independent consultant advising and supporting brands and nonprofit organizations on growth strategies. She also began to focus more on her creative interests. Always a storyteller through her photography, Beth traveled to Scotland to conduct research for a photo documentary book. This led her to write a screenplay entitled DARK HARBOR which became a Nicholl Fellowship quarterfinal script and the First Place Winner for drama in the Creative World Awards.
She regularly attends photography and painting workshops including Bazan PhotosWorkshops, Maine Media Workshops, Rocky Mountain School of Photography, Santa Fe Workshops, Rowayton Arts Center, and Silvermine Arts Center where she works alongside other artists.
Beth lives in Fairfield County, CT where she is inspired daily by its cultural outlets, sense of community, and best of all, nature.
